1. Objective
This Equal Opportunity Policy ("Policy") is framed in accordance with the provisions of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 ("RPwD Act") and the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017. The objective of this policy is to ensure equal opportunity, non-discrimination, and full participation of persons with disabilities (PwDs) in employment and other aspects of the workplace.
2. Applicability
This Policy applies to all employees (permanent, temporary, contractual, or trainees), job applicants, and interns of VKC Nuts Private Limited and its Group Companies, hereinafter referred to collectively as the "Company."
3. Definition
For the purposes of this Policy:
- Person with Disability (PwD): A person with long-term physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory impairment which, in interaction with barriers, hinders full and effective participation in society equally with others, as defined under Section 2(s) of the RPwD Act.
- Reasonable Accommodation: Necessary and appropriate modification and adjustments, without imposing a disproportionate or undue burden, to ensure PwDs enjoy or exercise rights equally.
4. Commitment
The Company is committed to:
- Providing an accessible and inclusive workplace free from discrimination.
- Offering equal opportunity in recruitment, promotion, training, and other enployment-related matters.
- Ensuring reasonable accommodations are made for PwDs to enable them to perform their duties effectively.
Promoting awareness and sensitivity toward PwDs among all employees.
5. Facilities and Amenities
The Company shall provide the following for employees with disabilities:
- Accessible infrastructure, including entryways, washrooms, and common areas, in accordance with accessibility standards.
- Assistive devices, technology, and software, as may be required for job performance.
Modified seating and work arrangements to suit specific needs. - Adequate facilities during transfers and postings, considering the specific needs of PwDs.
6. Recruitment
The Company shall not discriminate against PwDs in job advertisements, selection, interviews, or promotions.
- All job postings shall clearly mention: "Persons with Disabilities are encouraged to apply."
- Accessible test formats
- Use of scribes or sign language interpreters
- Extended time for tests
- The Company will identify Posts suitable for persons with disabilities & incorporate the List of such Posts in due Course of Time.
7. Post-Recruitment
The Company shall ensure:
- Seamless onboarding and team integration of PwDs.
- Access to career development and growth opportunitics.
- Provision of post-recruitment and pre-promotion training tailored to individual needs.
- Preference in transfer and posting, based on health, access to medical care, support systems, or family responsibilities. Will be duly taken into Consideration for PwDs employee.
- Provision of special leave, where necessary, to manage disability-related medical needs, subject to applicable policies and approvals. Will be duly taken into Consideration for PwDs employee.
8. Grievance Redressal
Any employee who experiences discrimination or lack of access may file a grievance.

10. Confidentiality
All medical or disability-related information shared by employees or candidates will be kept confidential and will be used only for providing necessary support and accommodations.
11. Review and Updates
This policy shall be reviewed periodically and updated as required by law or based on company experience. Amendments shall be communicated to all employees.
12. Display
This Policy shall be:
- Published on the Company’s internal portal and notice boards.
- Made available in accessible formats upon request.
12. Maintenance of Records
The Company shall maintain records of:
- Number of PwDs employed.
Facilities provided.
Applications received from PwDs during recruitment.
